COMMUNITY MESSAGE: Whitehall Mayor addresses the Village's "Winter Parking Policy".
Mayor Bartholomew wishes to share the following message regarding the Village of Whitehall's Winter Parking Policy with all of our residents, business members, visitors, and subscribers:
"The Village of Whitehall does not currently have a Winter Parking Ban in force. Overnight parking on the street is allowed when there is no current snow fall or forecast for snow overnight. If either of these conditions exists, no vehicles are allowed to park on the street. This policy has been in force for two years and will continue with the cooperation of the public. Should a vehicle be in violation of this policy, the Village Police will attempt contact the owner and request the vehicle be moved. If the Police are unable to contact the owner or the owner refuses to move the vehicle, the vehicle will be towed at the owner’s expense and at the discretion of the police officer or may either be issued a warning or a parking ticket."
