A 4 month joint investigation by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police, IMAGE Drug Task Force and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Ft. Wayne came to a close this morning. Arrested was Edward D. Perrey age 50 of 775 LN 275 Jimmerson Lake Angola Indiana. Three (3) arrest warrants containing multiple charges and a search warrant were served this morning at the Jimmerson Lake home by Northeast Indiana SWAT. Taken into custody at the home was Mr. Perrey.

Charges on Edward Perrey include –

2 counts of level 5 felony Dealing in methamphetamine – bond set at $50,000.00 dollars with no 10%
2 counts of level 4 felony Dealing in methamphetamine – bond set at $50,000.00 dollars with no 10%
2 counts of felony habitual offender – Bond and terms included in the above charges.
1 count of level 6 felony theft – Bond is set at $3,000.00 with 10% authorized

Mr. Perrey is currently housed in the Steuben County Jail pending preliminary hearings with a Steuben County Court. The Indiana State police, Indiana state police clandestine lab team, the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office and the US drug enforcement agents are continuing to investigate as more charges are possible as a result.

Northeast Indiana SWAT agencies involved were: Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office, Angola Police, Auburn Police.

Any Criminal Charge is merely an accusation. The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
