2016 APD Citizen Academy 
Are you interested in spending five weeks learning about what police officers do and the training they receive? Do topics such as use of force, emergency vehicle operations, investigations, and traffic enforcement intrigue you? If so, you might consider signing up for the 2016 Anacortes Police Department Citizen Academy.
The Academy is a great opportunity to engage with Anacortes Police Department staff who present on topics highlighting their specific area of expertise such as the history of APD, domestic violence investigations, and animal control.
The Academy will take place on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6-8PM. The Academy dates are Monday, February 29-Wednesday, March 30, 2016. There is no charge and no expectation of further commitment once you graduate from the Academy.
