On 18 December 2015 at approximately 01:39am the Burlington Police Department received a call from an employee at the Zen Lounge (165 Church Street) who reported that an intoxicated male with a gun was threatening to shoot people after he was kicked out of the establishment.
Burlington Police Officers responded and subsequently arrested Victor Anghelache 30, near the intersection of Church Street and College Street. Anghelache was found to be in possession of a loaded .45 caliber hand gun in his waistband.
Anghelache was lodged at Chittenden Regional County Correctional on $5000 bail. Anghelache is scheduled for arraignment today at Chittenden County Superior Court, Criminal Division.
The crime of Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (Title 13 VSA§ 1024 (a5) shall be imprisonment for not more than five years or fined not more than $5,000.00, or both.
