Impaired Driver Clocked by Radar at 114 MPH
Gibson County – This morning at approximately 7:16, Trooper John Davis was patrolling I-69 near the 41 mile-marker in Pike County when he clocked a red Dodge Neon traveling south at 114 mph. Davis caught up with the vehicle near the 36 mile-marker in Gibson County and paced it at 120 mph before stopping the vehicle at the 34.5 mile-marker. The driver was identified as Edwin Harris, 51, of Cannelburg. Davis detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage while talking to Harris. Further investigation revealed Harris had a blood alcohol content of .14%. He was arrested and taken to the Gibson County Jail where he is currently being held on bond.
