On December 16, 2015 5th Precinct Officers drove 38 children from a local homeless shelter to Target of Sayville to buy presents for the Holidays. Each child was given a gift card and was able to shop with a 5th Precinct Police Officer.  The 5th Precinct Explorers also assisted with this event. The money for this event was donated by Target Stores and Officers at the 5th Precinct and the 5th Precinct Alliance. Thank you to the Police Department, the community and to Target for making this event a great success.
