12/25/2015 FLASH FLOOD WATCH
The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a FLASH FLOOD WATCH for our area which will is in effect from Saturday evening through Monday afternoon.
*Periods of heavy rainfall of between 2-4 inches or more are possible.
This heavy rainfall may result in flash flooding of low lying or poor drainage areas as well as small creeks and streams.
If you live in area that has experienced flooding issues due to heavy rain in the past, take protective action now before the rain arrives.
Ponding of water on roadways is also a possibility which could lead to hazardous driving conditions especially at night when the water is harder to see. Use caution and s-l-o-w down.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
