Showers and thunderstorms will lift into eastern Kansas and northern Missouri today.
Storms will persist through tonight into Sunday bringing heavy rain which may cause some flooding, especially to areas from east central KS into central and southern MO.
Temperatures today, tonight and through the day Sunday will stay above freezing.
Cold air will move south Sunday night bringing the threat of snow or ice to areas north and west of I-35 Sunday night.
Cold air, and the potential for snow, will then spread across the rest of eastern KS and northern MO Monday.
Highest wintry accumulations are expected to be across the far northwest corner of MO, east along the Iowa border with several inches of snow possible.
Kansas City area can expect 1-3" of snow Sunday into Monday.
