The City of Sleepy Eye has declared a snow emergency effective tomorrow (12/27/2015) at 8 AM. Vehicles parked in the downtown snow emergency route will have until 10 AM to be removed or be subject to ticketing and/or towing. At that time the snow will not be picked up from the downtown emergency route. A second notice will come out tomorrow as the snow will be picked up Sunday night into Monday morning so again vehicles will need to be removed from the downtown emergency route. Residents outside the downtown emergency route have 24 hours from snow emergency time to move vehicle(s) to a clean parking spot. Reminder until a spot has been cleaned there is no parking in that location until it is cleaned and also sufficient room needs to be left for the plow to clean it. If vehicle hasn't been moved or has parked in a area that has not been cleaned will be subject to ticketing and/or towing.
