...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FOR SOUTHEAST TENNESSEE...PLATEAU...

AND CHEROKEE AND CLAY COUNTIES OF NORTH CAROLINA FOR MONDAY
AFTERNOON AND MONDAY NIGHT...

.A STRONG STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE ACROSS THE TENNESSEE VALLEY AND
SOUTHERN APPALACHIANS MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING PRODUCING
SHOWERS AND POSSIBLY THUNDERSTORMS. THESE STORMS WILL HAVE A PERIOD
OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINS WITH RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 1 1/2
INCHES POSSIBLE.
DUE TO THE RECENT RAINFALL AND FLOODING...THE GROUND IS SATURATED
AND THE EXPECTED RETURN OF HEAVY RAINS MAY PRODUCE ADDITIONAL FLASH
FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS...ROADWAY AND STREAM FLOODING...AND MUD
SLIDES.

* ADDITIONAL FLOODING OF LOW LYING...ROADWAY AND STREAM
FLOODING...MUD SLIDES WILL BE POSSIBLE. PEOPLE WHO LIVE ALONG
CREEKS AND STREAMS SHOULD MONITOR LEVELS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE
ACTION. TRAVELERS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR WATER COVERING THE ROAD.
