* Flood Watch for portions of Indiana... northern Kentucky and
Ohio... including the following areas... in Indiana... Dearborn...
Fayette... Franklin... Ohio... Ripley... Switzerland... Union and
Wayne. In northern Kentucky... Boone... Bracken... Campbell...
Carroll... Gallatin... Grant... Kenton... Mason... Owen... Pendleton
and Robertson. In Ohio... Auglaize... Brown... Butler...
Champaign... Clark... Clermont... Clinton... Darke... Greene...
Hamilton... Hardin... Logan... Mercer... Miami... Montgomery...
Preble... Shelby and Warren.
* From 11 AM EST this morning through Tuesday morning
* A cold front will push across the region tonight. The airmass in
place ahead of this front is very moist. This will result in
periods of widespread rain today and tonight. Embedded
thunderstorms will also be observed mainly early this evening.
Rainfall during this period is expected to be between 1 and 1.5
inches with locally up to 2 inches.
* The environment is very moist and soils are wet from recent
rainfall. The rainfall may result in flooding of low lying
areas and creeks and streams. Longer term flooding of rivers
will also be possible.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
