12/26/15, press release - Assault/Robbery

On 12/26/2015 at approximately 0026 hours the Burlington Police were called to a reported robbery of the Pine St. Cumberland Farms convenience store. Responding officers learned that the store had been robbed by a lone male suspect. The suspect was described as a white male, 5’06” to 5’09”, thin build, wearing grey pants, a black hoodie, white sneakers, and a black mask. The suspect demanded the cash from the register and threatened the clerk with lethal force however, no weapon was displayed. The suspect fled the store on foot and was not apprehended.

This is the third robbery of this location in the past week and coincides with a number of robberies in the City of South Burlington. Detectives from both cities are looking at all cases, marshaling the evidence and looking for connections.

The Burlington Police Department are requesting that anyone with information related to the recent string of robberies to call Detective Volp at (802) 540-2277 or the Champlain Valley Crime Stoppers at (802) 864-6666.
