Covina PD arrests pizza delivery man after he stabs customer during an altercation over a delayed pizza delivery.
On January 2, 2016 at approximately 11:35 PM, Covina Police Officers were dispatched to a stabbing that just occurred in the 600 block of N. Mangrove in the City of Covina. Upon arrival, Covina officers determined a male resident of the location had been stabbed during an altercation with a Domino's Pizza delivery man over the extended delay of a pizza delivery to the location.
The victim, a 20 year old resident of Covina, was stabbed in the wrist and neck area. He was treated at the scene by the Los Angeles County Fire Department and transported to a local trauma center with non-life threatening injuries.
During the investigation, the suspect, Michael Charles Parker, 31 year old resident of Glendora, was contacted at his place of employment and was taken into custody for assault with a deadly weapon (PC 245). S/Parker was transported to the Covina Police Department for booking and posted bail in the amount of $30,000. S/Parker was released from custody pending his arraignment at Citrus Superior Court on March 21, 2016.
