The department responded to 61 calls for service over the weekend including calls for emergency medical services, smell of burning wires, carbon monoxide activations, oil spill, alarm activations, and motor vehicle accidents.

Safety Tip:
Remove vehicles from the garage right away after starting. Never run a vehicle or other fuel engine or motor in a garage, even if the garage doors are open. Make sure the exhaust pipe of a running vehicle is not blocked with snow, ice, or other materials. The carbon monoxide (CO) gas can kill people and pets.
