DATE AND TIME: Thursday, December 31, 2015 at approximately 9:34P.M.
LOCATION: 8000 block of East Sidney Road, Crystal Township.

A Montcalm County man was arrested on Thursday, December 31, 2015 and remains behind bars, for a break-in as well as damaging property.
The original call came in at approximately 9:34 P.M. on December 31st. The caller, a 67 year old Crystal woman, informed Central Dispatch that a family member, later identified as Branden Miller age 26 from Crystal, had broken into her home. The investigation found that Miller was intoxicated and was attempting to locate the caller’s car keys. When the caller attempted to stop Miller he pushed the caller away shoving her to the floor causing minor injuries to her. Miller did take a bottle of alcohol from the home as he left.
Miller went to a nearby home where he was apprehended without further incident.
Miller has been charged with First Degree Home Invasion and Malicious Destruction of Property Less than $200.00. Miller remains behind bars on a $5500.00 cash/surety bond.
Montcalm County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted in the arrest by Carson City Police and the Michigan State Police.
