**Council Adoption Date Change** - Update for Development and Redevelopment Projects in the City of Chula Vista

The updated City of Chula Vista Best Management Practices (BMP) Design Manual (December 2015) addresses onsite post-construction storm water requirements for Standard Projects and Priority Development Projects (PDPs) and provides procedures for planning, preliminary design, selection, and design of permanent storm water BMPs based on the performance standards required by the Municipal Storm Water Permit for the San Diego Region [Order No. R9-2013-0001 as amended by R9-2015-0001 and R9-2015-0100].

The City of Chula Vista is anticipating adoption of said Manual by City Council on January 12, 2016. The updated requirements in the BMP Design Manual become effective on February 16, 2016 and will replace the current City of Chula Vista Storm Water Manual (January 2011). Any development project that does not obtain Prior Lawful Approval before the new requirements go into effect must update its design to comply with the new requirements.

For more information regarding the new BMP requirements please refer to the City of Chula Vista BMP Design Manual at: http://www.chulavistaca.gov/departments/public-works/services/storm-water-pollution-prevention/documents-and-reports
