Traffic stop leads to Meth arrest
On 12-30-15 at approximately 8:35 pm, officers stopped a maroon Chevrolet Malibu in the 1700 blk of Lucille Avenue. As the vehicle slowed to a stop the back left passenger (an unknown black male) exited the vehicle and ran. Officers briefly chased after this subject but lost sight of him due to the heavy fog in the area. Officers then returned to the vehicle where two other subjects were being detained for investigation. A clear small plastic baggie was located on the pavement in the area of the driver's side door. Further investigation revealed that the driver, Trent Dale Weaver, had thrown the baggie out the window upon being stopped on traffic. The baggie contained approximately 7 grams of Methamphetamine. Trent Weaver was arrested for Manufacturing/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 and Tampering with evidence.
