The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for our area from late tonight through Wednesday afternoon. A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding, which is a very dangerous situation.

The NWS expects locally heavy rainfall on Wednesday morning that could create urban flooding, debris flows, and small creek flooding. Stay away from moving water, especially canals and creeks. Do not drive through deep standing water. You can keep up to speed on the latest weather forecasts by checking the National Weather Service's webpage.

Sandbags are available at the following locations in Novato:
• Department of Public Works yard at the end of Davidson Street
• Hamilton Theater parking lot
• Dogbone Meadows dog park on Novato Blvd

Please bring your own shovel and limit the number of sandbags that you take to 10-15.
