12/26/15 WTPD arrested James McDonough, age 44, of Washington, NJ for criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. On 12/26/15 at approximately 3:00 AM, officers were dispatched to the Quick Chek in the 30 block of Belvidere Ave in Washington Borough for an intoxicated male that was demanding to speak with the police. Upon the officer’s arrival, contact was made with Mr. McDonough, who was intoxicated and seated on the sidewalk behind the Midtown Apartment building. The officer’s investigation revealed that that Mr. McDonough had damaged a door to the apartment building. When Mr. McDonough was taken into custody he attempted to kick out the widow of the patrol car. Mr. McDonough was processed and lodged n the WC Jail in lieu of $5000.00 bail.

12/27/15 WTPD arrested John Ross Jr., age 56, of Bethlehem, PA for an outstanding $1000.00 warrant out of Washington Borough. Mr. Ross was processed and released with a new court.

01/02/16 WTPD arrested Raymond Gardner Jr., age 49, and Katie Kain, age 24, both of Oxford, NJ for possession of CDS (heroin). On 01/02/15 at approximately 3:49 PM, patrol conducted a motor vehicle stop at the Valley View Estates Mobile Home Park in Oxford Township. The officer’s investigation resulted in both Mr. Gardner and Ms. Kain being charged with possession of CDS (heroin). Mr. Gardner was processed and released with a mandatory court date. Ms. Kain was found to be an NCIC wanted person out of Passaic County Sheriff’s Department. Ms Kain also had outstanding warrants out of Oxford Township, Washington Township (Warren County), Washington Township (Morris County) and 16 bags of heroin on her person. She was processed and lodged in the WC Jail.

01/03/14 WTPD arrested Douglas Decastro, age 50, of Washington, NJ for disorderly conduct and a local ordinance for maintaining a nuisance. On 01/03/14 at approximately 5:19 PM, officers were dispatched to the Rite Aid Pharmacy 354 Rte. 57 W. in Washington Township for an intoxicated male that was outside causing a disturbance. Upon the officer’s arrival, contact was made with Mr. Decastro, who appeared to be intoxicated and being disorderly outside of the business. Mr. Decastro was taken into custody and issued summonses for disorderly conduct and a local ordinance of maintaining a nuisance. He processed and released with a mandatory court date.

01/04/16 WTPD arrested Derek Whitter Jr., age 30, of Mt. Olive, NJ for an outstanding $2677.00 out of Hackensack, NJ. On 01/04/16 at approximately 1:53 PM, patrol stopped a motor vehicle on Rte. 57 E. in Washington Borough for an expired registration. Mr. Whitter, who was the driver, was found to have an outstanding warrant. Mr. Whitter was processed, issues motor vehicle summonses for unregistered motor vehicle, driving on a suspended license, unlicensed driver, unclear license plate and uninsured motor vehicle. Mr. Whitter was turned over to the Hackensack PD.
