Save the Date--Stop Human Trafficking Event on March 8th
The Skagit County Coalition Against Trafficking is hosting an event for healthcare workers, educators, law enforcement, social services, and youth leaders at the Swinomish Casino on Tuesday, March 8th at 8:30 AM.
In addition, an informative presentation for parents and grandparents, friends and neighbors, is scheduled for that evening at 7:00 PM at the Burlington-Edison High School.
Featured speakers for this event are as follows:
-Noel Gomez--trafficking survivor and co-founder of the Organization for Prostitution Survivors.
-Peter Qualliotine--designer of the "john school" curriculum and co-founder of the Organization for Prostitution Survivors and Men's Accountability.
-Erik Bauer--Criminal Justice Attorney suing Backpage on behalf of three trafficked minors.
-Paul Nielsen--Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Skagit County.
