PHONE SCAM ALERT Caller posing to be Dept of Treasury threatening federal criminal charges for failure to return call 
Please report any suspicious phone calls reporting to be representatives from the Department of Treasury to [email protected]
There have been reports of elderly victims receiving calls stating the following:
“Treasury Department calling intending your serious attention. Ignoring this will be an intentional second attempt to avoid initial appearance before a magistrate judge, for a grand jury, for a federal criminal offense. Now, this is the final attempt to reach you. To know your case number and to speak to a federal agent, call back on 703-###-####. I repeat, 703-###-####. Thank you.”
Ignore and block such calls if possible.
