On Sunday (01/10/16) afternoon, Greene County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the area of the 2900 block of West Farm Road 164 to check on a black male with unknown injuries. The 20-year old male was found near West Farm Road 164 and South Glenn Avenue; GCSO Deputies provided immediate medical attention until an ambulance arrived. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries; he was alert and conscious, with one visible gunshot wound to the chest.

After further investigation based on information provided by witnesses, GCSO Deputies responded to a home in the area of the 3300 block of South Parkmont Court and executed a search warrant in connection to this incident.

"We want to assure the citizens this appears to be an isolated incident which occurred between individuals who are acquainted with one another," states Sheriff Jim Arnott.
