Door Busting Pill Thief gets Busted. 
On Tuesday January 12, 2016 at about 11:26 AM the Anderson Police Department was dispatched to the 3200 block of Daisy Lane for a subject trying to kick down the front door on a residence. The neighbor witnessing the event who called this crime in described the burglary suspect as a white male adult, approximately 400 lbs. When Anderson officers arrived they located 30 year old Anderson resident, Vernon Powell attempting to force his way into a house. Powell was quickly taken into custody. Powell had already broken into one residence and committed burglary. Powell admitted to breaking into these houses with the intent to steal prescription medications.
The Anderson Police Department is always appreciative of the Anderson residents who watch out for their neighbors and help us in keeping our community safe.
Powell was arrested for burglary and was booked into Shasta County Jail.
