On Tuesday January 12, 2016, at approximately 11:50am, a residential burglary occurred on Indian Rock Drive in Rancho Palos Verdes.
The suspects made entry through a window and were quickly confronted by the victim. The suspects ran from the scene and fled to an awaiting getaway car. Lomita deputies responding to the incident came across the suspect vehicle and a short pursuit ensued through the residential neighborhood. The pursuit ended when the suspect vehicle failed to negotiate a turn and collided with the curb and came to rest against a tree. A containment was established and two of the suspects were arrested shortly after.
An ongoing search continued for the third suspect who attempted to use the cover of darkness as his means of escape. Detectives in unmarked vehicles and working in an undercover capacity arrested the third suspect as he flagged them down trying to hitch a ride out of the area. Palos Verdes Estates Police Department assisted Lomita Station personnel throughout this investigation.
Evidence recovered from the incident linked the suspects to an additional residential burglary in Rancho Palos Verdes.
