***SCHEDULED WATER LINE REPAIRS***
The City of Red Oak’s Public Works Department will be conducting some minor water line repairs in the “Old Town” area beginning this Friday, January 15th, at 11:00 pm and continuing through Saturday morning.

Unfortunately, water service will not be available during this time. Water service will be restored as soon as possible and should be available for non‐potable use sometime Saturday morning. As
a precautionary measure, the City of Red Oak is issuing a Boil Water Notice effective January 15, 2016 at 11:00 pm for the “Old Town” area general located south of Red Oak Road between Live Oak Street and the railroad tracks at SH 342. At that time, water should not be used for potable uses such as drinking, cooking or making ice unless the water is boiled vigorously for two minutes and allowed to cool. We anticipate lifting the Boil Water Notice by Sunday afternoon, but the Boil Water Notice shall remain
effective until notified otherwise. Residents in this area should take necessary measures to prepare for the water disturbance.

For example, containers may be filled with water ahead of time to use for flushing toilets while water service is not available and used for cooking and drinking while the Boil Water Notice is in effect.
