On Thursday, January 14, 2016, at about 3:05 pm, officers from the Anderson Police Department were dispatched to the 1600 block of Mantor Drive, to investigate suspicious circumstances in the reported death of two subjects at an apartment complex. Officers discovered two subjects deceased inside an apartment. APD investigators were called to the scene to examine unusual circumstances. The Department of Justice crime scene unit was later contacted for assistance in processing the scene for evidence.
The investigation is still in progress and citizens are being asked to stay clear of the area until the scene investigation is completed. No suspects have been identified and there is no reason to believe there is any danger to the surrounding neighborhood residents or citizens in the community.
