The Downey Police Department is currently investigating the Home Invasion Robbery that resulted in the murder of a Downey resident in the 10300 block of Lesterford Ave. Further information gathered during this investigation points to the victim being specifically targeted by the suspects. We do not believe this was a random crime.
On Tuesday, January 19, 2016, Downey Detectives developed information that led them to the arrest of a third suspect involved in this crime. A 17-year-old Anaheim resident was taken into
custody in connection with this homicide. He is being charged with 187PC (murder) and will be transported to a Juvenile Detention Center.
