ISP Drug Task Force Arrests Bloomfield Woman on Several Felony Drug Charges
Bloomington – Late Tuesday night the Indiana State Police Drug Task force performed a traffic stop of a vehicle near SR445 and SR45 in Greene County. While Trooper Allen Deel was conducting the traffic stop, Trooper Richard R. Klun deployed his certified K9 “Loki” around the exterior of the vehicle followed by the K9 giving a positive alert for narcotics.
Troopers found one of the passengers identified as Jamie Jo Staten, 48, of Bloomfield, to be in possession of Heroin, Methamphetamine, Cocaine and Drug Paraphernalia. Staten was transported to the Greene County Jail where she was incarcerated.
While being processed at the Greene County Jail, Staten was discovered to be concealing a methamphetamine pipe and a crack cocaine rock under her clothing.
Staten was incarcerated for Possession of Cocaine, a Level 6 Felony, Possession of Heroin, a Level 6 Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 6 Felony and Possession of Paraphernalia with a prior conviction, a Class A Misdemeanor.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by Bloomfield Police Officer Lieutenant Marvin Holt.
