The department responded to 18 calls for service yesterday including calls for emergency medical services, a building fire, an illegal burn, and a motor vehicle accident.

Safety Tip:
Keep children and pets away from the outside fireplace vents. Have a “kid-free zone” of at least 3 feet (1 meter) away from the fireplace. Glass doors and screens can remain dangerously hot for several hours after the fire goes out.
