Peru Man Arrested for Child Exploitation and Possession of Child Pornography
Peru – Recently, a criminal investigation by officers from the Indiana State Police and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force resulted in the arrest of Larry Owen, 61, Peru, IN. Officers served Owen with a Miami Superior Court II arrest warrant alleging 25 counts for the possession of child pornography and a single charge for child exploitation. Owen was incarcerated in the Miami County Jail where he posted ten percent of a $125,000 bond.
An investigation was initiated after officers developed information that Owen allegedly possessed nude and partially nude images of children. Further investigation led to officers serving a search warrant at Owen’s Peru home. Officers purportedly found evidence of child pornography at the home.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law
