Many roads in West Manheim Township are impassable for non-emergency traffic and may remain so until Sunday.

WMT Public Works Department and PennDOT continue to plow and condition the roads however the significant snowfall will continue to make some roads impassable. Dependent upon total accumulation and winds, some roads may remain impassable through Sunday.

Please STAY OFF THE ROADS unless you have emergency travel and only then in a four wheel drive vehicle. Road visibility will also be greatly impaired. Vehicles stuck in the snow may endanger the occupants, block ingress/egress routes, and diminish public safety resources.

Capable homeowners are asked to clear snow away from fire hydrants, at least three feet in all directions, in the event of a fire emergency.

The West Manheim Twp. Board of Supervisors have declared a SNOW EMERGENCY and the Governor of PA has enacted a STATE OF EMERGENCY proclamation as of January 21, 2016.
