IRS Scam is coming around again. Don't give information to phone callers or emails claiming to be the IRS.

With the actual tax season upon us, it appears the scammers are also in full swing. A resident received multiple calls today from subjects claiming to be with the IRS. If the IRS does need to contact you, they would do it through official mail correspondence first, and would never demand money by phone.

Please pass the word, especially to the elderly, who tend to be more likely to fall for such scams.
