On January 27, 2016 at approximately 2:40am, the Thurmont Police responded to the area of West Moser Road for a suspicious person seen entering unlocked vehicles. Upon his arrival, the Thurmont Police Officer located a male subject walking down the street from an opened vehicle. The officer detained the suspect and learned that the suspect had in his possession numerous items that had been stolen from two different vehicles. The items were small electronic devices, a knife, and jewelry. The suspect was identified as: Patrick Martin, age 23, from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Mr. Martin was transported to Central Booking and charged with: 7 cts of Theft: less than $100; and Making a False Statement to a Police Officer concerning his identity.
