Seeking Public's Help in Locating Shooting Suspect after Road Rage Incident
The Arlington Police Department responded to a shooting around 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2016. The caller said that her friend was shot while driving eastbound on Interstate Highway 30 near Cooper Street after what the caller described as a road rage incident. When officers arrived, they made contact with the caller who happened to be a passenger in the victim's vehicle. The driver, a woman in her mid-20's, was later pronounced deceased at a local hospital with an apparent gunshot wound.
Detectives are seeking the public's help in providing any information that might assist in this investigation. The shooting is believed to have occurred on the eastbound main lanes of IH 30 between N. Cooper Street and Center Street sometime between 6:45 p.m. and 7 p.m. The suspect is described as a light skinned Black or Hispanic male with dark hair, possibly in his mid-20's. The suspect was seated in the rear passenger seat of an unknown color, small 4-door passenger car, with tinted windows.

The identity of the deceased and cause of death will be released by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office after next of kin notifications have been made.
