GCSO Deputies involved in early morning pursuit, still searching for suspect 
At approximately 3:08 a.m. Friday (01/29/16) morning, a Greene County Sheriff's Deputy attempted to stop the driver of a white Chevrolet Malibu in the area of West Sunshine Street and South West Bypass after observing several lane violations and indicators of impaired driving. The vehicle also matched the description of a recently reported stolen vehicle.
The driver, who reached high rates of speed, led Deputies in an early morning pursuit throughout Greene County before eluding them in the area of North Farm Road 139 near the Lowe's in northern Springfield.
At this time, Greene County Deputies are still investigating this incident and searching for the driver of the vehicle.
