Three Women Injured in LaGrange County Crash
(LaGrange County, IN)-The Indiana State Police investigated a two vehicle crash that occurred earlier this evening on State Road 3 at the Noble/LaGrange County Line that sent three women to the hospital.
Preliminary investigation by Trooper Justin Snyder revealed that at approximately 5:25 p.m., a 1999 Buick four door driven by 36 year old Sarah L. Palmer of rural Angola was stopped eastbound at a stop sign on County Road 700 S at the intersection with State Road 3. Palmer drove her vehicle into the intersection and into the path of a northbound 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by 51 year old Cheryl A. North of rural Wolcottville.
As a result, North's pickup first struck Palmer's passenger car and then traveled approximately 100 feet and into a small creek. As the front of the pickup began to submerge into the creek, both North and her 19 year old daughter, Khyleigh A. North, crawled out of the extensively damaged truck.
Palmer was transported to Parkview Noble Hospital and both North women were airlifted by Samaritan air ambulance to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. All three women were reportedly wearing their seatbelts which reduced the severity of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time. Snyder was assisted by the LaGrange County and Noble County Sheriff Departments, Wolcottville Police Department, Stroh and Johnson Township Fire Departments, Parkview EMS and Samaritan air ambulance.
