Snow Emergency
Mayor Rita Sanders has declared a Snow Emergency for the City of Bellevue that will go into effect at 11:00pm on Monday February 1, 2016 and remain in effect until 11:00 PM on Tuesday, February 2, 2016.
The declaration of a Snow Emergency is intended to expedite the removal of snow from Bellevue streets and city code makes it unlawful for any vehicle to be parked on city streets between the stated hours. During the Snow Emergency, any vehicle in violation of this declaration is subject to towing and /or fine at the owner’s expense.
The issuance of a Snow Emergency in Bellevue is rare due to the inconvenience to our citizens, and only declared in extreme situations. The City of Bellevue and the Bellevue Police Department remind you that the towing and/or ticketing of vehicles in violation of this Snow Emergency will be done at the discretion of the Police Department and the Bellevue Public Works Department based on how these vehicles are affecting their snow removal efforts.
