HVPD E-Watch Has a New Look!
Starting February 1st, HVPD E-Watch will use the Nixle platform to keep residents informed. The previous email based forum will be discontinued.
HVPD E-Watch will utilize new technologies with Nixle that provide instant outreach across multiple mediums including email, Facebook, Twitter, web message, SMS text, cell and home phone, depending on the type of message.
HVPD E-Watch will use three levels of messaging:
Alerts - Critical time sensitive messages (Tornado Warning, Missing Child or Elderly).
Advisories - Important need to know information requiring heightened awareness (Road Closure/Detour, Wanted Suspects, Unusual Police Activity).
Community Messages - Routine news, happenings (Police Blotter, Crime Prevention Tips, Police Events and General messaging).
Recipients of this message are already members of HVPD E-Watch. Previous E-Watch Messages sent after February 1st on can be viewed on our Nixle E-Watch page located here.
