On February 1, 2016, at 7:15 pm, Itse Murillo was located on E. San Antonio Street near King Road in the City of San Jose. Murillo was taken into custody without incident on a $1,000,000 arrest warrant for assault with a deadly weapon on a Police Officer, auto theft, felony evasion, conspiracy, along with other charges. The warrant and arrest were as a result of the incident on January 30, 2016 where a Campbell officer was injured after his patrol car was rammed by a stolen vehicle. After the collision, Itse Murillo fled in a marked Campbell police car which was later located.
Campbell Police Investigators, along with the Santa Clara County Regional Auto Theft Task Force (RATTF) have been following up on leads since Saturday and located Itse Murillo yesterday evening. She was contacted by Campbell Investigators during a high risk car stop with the assistance of RATTF and the San Jose Police Department.
Itse Murillo is believed to have been involved in several vehicle pursuits with local law enforcement since Saturday. Earlier in the day on February 1, 2016, Murrillo was involved in a pursuit with the Los Altos Police Department. During the pursuit, Murillo drove over several curbs and struck a Los Altos Police patrol car as she fled.
Campbell Police Captain Gary Berg said, "We are thankful that Ms. Murillo is now in custody. Her dangerous and reckless behavior over the last several days posed serious concerns for the safety of the public."
Christian Hernandez, the third suspect in Saturday’s incident, is currently wanted on a $250,000 arrest warrant.
