4th suspect arrested in connection to home invasion robbery and murder.
The Downey Police Department developed additional leads regarding the Home Invasion Robbery and murder of Mr. Jim Rudometkin, which occurred on January 17, 2016. These leads have led to the arrest of a fourth suspect involved in this crime, who had a past association with the victim, confirming that the victim was specifically targeted by the suspects and that this was not a random crime.
On Friday, January 29, 2016, Downey Detectives arrested, 24-year-old Michael Harrod of Anaheim, in connection with this homicide. He was arrested and booked on the charge of 187PC (murder) and was transported to Los Angeles County Jail. Also located during the investigation was a vehicle believed to have been used by the suspects during the commission of the crime.
On February 2, 2016, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office filed the following charges against Harrod: (1) count of 187 PC-Murder, (1) count of 211 PC-Robbery and (1) count of 459 PC-Burglary.
