A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for snow which is in effect until 1 pm this afternoon
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow which is in effect until 1 pm this afternoon with accumulations of 2 to 4 inches.
Precipitation may begin as a period of rain. Snow will be heaviest around the morning commute. Snow quickly tapers off early Friday afternoon.
Once snow begins, roads are expected to quickly become snow covered and slippery and may fall at 1 inch per hour Friday morning leading to low visibilities in addition to hazardous road conditions.
Winds from the north from 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph, temperatures in the lower 30s.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities and use caution while driving.
