Officers responded to a reported suspicious circumstance. Unknown subjects tampered with the water line, which resulted in an $800 bill from the water company.

Officers responded to a theft of a wallet from a purse. The incident occurred while the victim was dining. The stolen credit cards were used shortly thereafter and follow-up is being conducted.

Officers responded to a suspicious circumstance. The reporting party received a telephone call from an unknown caller stating that a family member was being held hostage and demanded money. Officers determined the call to be a hoax.

Arrest: 74 year old male, resident of San Jose
Charges: Burglary
Officers responded to a business on a report of a burglary that had just occurred. The suspect entered the office while the business was open and removed items of value.
*On 2/1/2016, the investigating officer observed the suspect at another location and immediately detained him. He was arrested and transported to Main Jail.

Arrest: 30 year old male, resident of Santa Clara
Charges: Possession of stolen property, outstanding warrant
Officers located a vehicle with stolen license plates and conducted an enforcement stop. The driver was found to have an outstanding warrant. He was cited and released.

Officers responded to a grand theft. A subject took a test ride on a bicycle and failed to return. Follow-up is being conducted.

Arrest: 31 year old male, resident of Watsonville
Charges: Outstanding warrant
Officers responded to a reported suspicious person who had been tampering with vehicles. They located the subject and determined he had multiple active warrants. He was cited and released.
