On Monday, February 8, 2016, while responding to an unrelated call, Sausalito Police Officer Justin Ritz saw Grant WOJAHN (35 year old from Illinois) in the area of Libertyship and Marinship. Officer Ritz recognized WOJAHN from a flyer that the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) San Francisco Field Office had disseminated advising law enforcement that a no bail warrant had been issued for WOJAHN’s arrest on sexual assault offenses committed in Illinois

Officer Ritz quickly detained WOJAHN and then placed him under arrest upon the FBI confirming the warrant. WOJAHN was later booked into the Marin County Jail.

It was determined that WOJAHN was aware of his warrant and had been living on a friend’s boat in Richardson Bay in an attempt to avoid apprehension.
