Lake Station Man Dies from Medical Incident
Lake Station-Yesterday evening, at approximately 7:45 p.m., a motorist called the Indiana State Police about a pick-up that went off the roadway I-80 west bound at the 15.8 mile marker (this is just before the Toll Road exit).
Troopers Davonne Barlow and Corey Adam responded and found Randy L. Williams, 51 of Lake Station unresponsive in the driver’s seat of a 2009 Ford F350 pick-up.
Barlow and Adam attempted to provide first aid while they called for an ambulance.
Williams was transported to Saint Mary’s Medical Center in Hobart where he was pronounced dead.
Williams pick-up had ran off the interstate onto the outer shoulder, then off the roadway where it was slowed down by mud and came to rest when it made contact with a snow bank. There was minimal damage to the pick-up.
It is believed Williams suffered from a medical incident prior to his crash.
Family was notified.
