A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 5 pm today until 1 pm Tuesday for snow changing to freezing rain or sleet

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 5 pm today until 1 pm Tuesday for snow changing to freezing rain or sleet. Snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches, along with around a tenth of an inch of ice will cause hazardous travel Monday night.

Snow will begin this evening and continue through the night changing to freezing rain or sleet after midnight and eventually rain Tuesday morning which will make make for slippery travel.

Winds will be from the southeast from 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph, temperatures will be in the upper 20s and 30 and visibility may briefly drop to 1/2 mile or less.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities and use caution while driving.
