AREAL FLOODING CONCERNS ACROSS THE REGION THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH
TUESDAY MORNING...

.AN UPPER-LEVEL STORM SYSTEM WILL PASS THROUGH THE REGION THIS
AFTERNOON AND OVERNIGHT...BRINGING WIDESPREAD PERIODS OF MODERATE
TO LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE ENTIRE REGION. WIDESPREAD
RAINFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 1.5 TO 2 INCHES ARE EXPECTED BY LATE
TONIGHT INTO TUESDAY MORNING...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS UP TO
2.5 INCHES POSSIBLE IN SOME SPOTS ALONG THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU. THIS
RAINFALL WILL LEAD TO SOME RUNOFF ISSUES AND LOCALIZED AREAL
FLOODING...PARTICULARLY ALONG THE NORTHERN PLATEAU WHERE RAINFALL

* RUNOFF FROM MODERATE TO LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL ON TOP OF A FROZEN
GROUND WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF POOR DRAINAGE AND LOW-LYING
AREAS...PARTICULARLY IN AREAS THAT WILL HAVE A MELTING SLEET OR
SNOW PACK.
