The Indiana State Police is now accepting applications for two civilian positions at the Versailles Post.
The first available opening is for a position as a regional dispatcher. Successful applicants must be able to receive, record, disseminate, and accurately dispatch information to police personnel, other law enforcement agencies, and other support services. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required as well as the ability to successfully pass a typing test. Two years of public safety communications experience and an emergency medical technician certification are preferred but not required. Applicants must also be willing to work evening and night shifts.
Pay for the regional dispatcher position starts at $30,082 per year.
The second available opening is for a position as a building custodian. Successful applicants must be able to maintain the State Police building facilities and grounds. Applicants must be able to move and lift heavy objects, work inside and outside, and be able to operate lawn maintenance equipment. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Pay for the building custodian position starts at $18,460 per year.
The applicants for both positions should also reside within driving distance of the Versailles Post located in Versailles, IN.
