SAMPLE OF IRS SCAM CALL-BENSENVILLE POLICE 
Good afternoon everyone,
One of our Village Trustees Henry Wesseler received multiple calls from what appears to be a collection agent recording for the IRS.
He has been getting at least two calls last week. He wanted to make the community aware and share the information.
Keep in mind the IRS does not call and make threats to arrest, seize your property, sue you, or anything else and ask you to pay with:
-Wire Transfers
-Pre-Paid Visa or Mastercards
-Green Dot Cards
If they have an issue with you they will contact you by mail. Your best response when you get one of these criminals is to hang up. Call your phone company and block the number. Mobile phones are easier to block numbers.
We see that the number the criminals use will be dumped when someone questions them. They also clone numbers that look similar to the IRS or other government agency. Do not fall for that!!
