Traffic Stop for Speeding Leads to Drug Arrest
Madison County – A traffic stop for speeding last evening landed a Daleville man in the Madison County Jail on drug charges. Last evening shortly before 8 p.m., Troopers Justin Beamon and Ryan Davis were on I-69, around the 226 mile marker, when they observed a silver 2002 Pontiac that was north bound at 90 M.P.H. in the 70 M.P.H. zone.
The two troopers gave chase and got the car stopped around the 227 mile marker. After making contact with the car’s driver and only occupant, Zachary Tumulty, age 24 of Daleville, and further investigation, the troopers arrested Tumulty for Possession of Heroin, under 1 gram, Level 6 Felony, and Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia, both misdemeanor charges.
