A home on the 1900 block of E. Marion St. was burglarized overnight between Monday (2/22) and Tuesday (2/23). The suspect entered through an unlocked rear door and stole property, including keys to a vehicle which was also stolen.
A similar incident occurred to a home on the 3600 block of Hackett during the overnight hours of Sunday (2/14) and Monday (2/15). In that incident, the suspect made entry to a home through an unlocked side door and stole property, including credit cards which were then fraudulently used.
There is no suspect description at this time. Both incidents are currently under investigation. The Shorewood Police Department cannot stress enough the importance of locking your homes. This includes both daytime and overnight. Please promote crime prevention in Shorewood by locking your homes and vehicles.
